ADAS calibration price list
You pay one line per system the repair calls for, plus setting up (coding) a replaced camera or radar. Not sure? Send your VIN.
Calibration, per system
Coding a replaced part to your vehicle
Diagnostic scan
- Same price on a mobile visit, except rows marked Shop bay only.
- Prices are before sales tax. Whether labor is taxed depends on your state; any tax that applies is itemized on your written quote.
- Dynamic calibration runs on the road, so it can be done as a mobile visit. Static calibration needs a level, lit, measured space, so whether your job can be done mobile depends on what your car's documented procedure calls for.
- Rows marked Shop bay only are done in a shop bay. The bay-and-road camera price applies when your car needs both calibrations.

Why not just go to the dealer?
You can. Dealers rarely publish a calibration price, so theirs comes with the quote. Ours is on this page. Get our quote.

The automaker's steps set the time. Some need a bay with targets, some a road drive, some both.
Prep comes first. Many procedures start from these basics:
- correct tire pressures
- a full fuel tank
- no extra cargo in the car
Some cars calibrate on the road. Their manuals print how far:
- Lucid's Air owner's manual: the calibration "requires driving about 15-20 miles (24-32 km) at highway speeds"
- Tesla's 2024 Model 3 service manual: self-calibrating "can take up to 100 miles (160 km) of manual driving"
Sources: Lucid, Air Owner's Manual, July 2026; Tesla, 2024 Model 3 Service Manual, September 2026; American Honda aiming job aid, August 2025.
Calibration comes in two kinds, set by the car's procedure. Honda's job aid puts them in two lines:
- "Static aiming is done with the vehicle stationary and aimed at a stationary target."
- "Dynamic aiming is done with lane markers on the road while driving."
Some cars need one kind and some need both. A few accept either.
You can't tell which from the driver's seat. So the front camera is one price either way, $300.
A camera whose procedure needs both is $500. That job needs a shop bay and a road drive.
A new camera or radar can be two jobs, each with its own price:
- coding, which sets the new unit up for your car's build and options
- calibration, so it looks where the car expects it to
Coding a replaced front radar is $275. Calibrating it, $330, comes on top.
Neither price includes the part. The dealer or body shop supplies and installs it.
No glass, bumper or sensor work behind the warning? Often it isn't a calibration job.
A dirty windshield or a hot cabin can switch camera features off. Honda's 2019 CR-V manual says:
- for "Some Driver Assist Systems Cannot Operate: Clean Front Windshield", clean the glass
- for "Some Driver Assist Systems Cannot Operate: Camera Temperature Too High", cool the cabin and drive
Still on after that? Start with a diagnostic scan, $115.
The scan reads the faults the car stored. A calibration follows only if they point to one.
Calibration is priced per system because each is its own job: prep, targets, a road drive or both.
Most US calibration and glass shops publish no price. A few show a "from" figure or a range.
And two quotes for one car can cover different work. Check that a quote shows:
- the system it calibrates, by name
- a price for each system
- static, dynamic or both, and where it runs
- the scan as its own line, if there is one
- coding as its own line, if a part was replaced
A phone price may not name every line. So get each one in writing first, ours included.
ADAS calibration cost questions
At ADAS Line, calibration starts at $240 for parking sensors. A front camera after a new windshield is $300.
Front radar calibration is $330. Our highest is $500, for a camera that needs bay and road calibration.
Each system is its own line, at service centers across the US. Prices exclude sales tax, which some states charge on labor.
At ADAS Line, windshield camera calibration is $300. Bay and road steps make it $500.
New glass means recalibrating only if your car has a camera behind it. The glass and its installation stay on the glass shop's bill.
Did the shop calibrate already? If its printout names the camera as calibrated and the dash is clear, there's nothing to book.
Calibration time depends on the car's procedure. Some run in a shop bay, some need a road drive, and some take both.
Road drives vary by car. Lucid's Air owner's manual says its calibration "requires driving about 15-20 miles" at highway speeds.
Many procedures start with prep, like a full tank. Your quote says whether yours runs in a bay, on the road or both.
Your written quote names every line before anything is scheduled. A diagnostic scan, when your job needs one, is priced and itemized separately.
Coding a replaced part is its own line. Glass, parts and body work come from the shop that does them.
Prices are before sales tax. Whether labor is taxed depends on your state; any tax that applies is itemized on your written quote.
Sometimes. Check your policy first, then ask your insurer if the calibration falls under your windshield claim or collision claim.
Your quote prices each system on its own line, so the adjuster sees what each calibration costs.
