No Rivian dealer to call? Check this first
Some Rivian warnings need no calibration. Calibration re-aims each camera and radar so it sees the road straight.
- "Stay attentive" (2022 to 2024): dirty glass, glare or a blocked radar. It ends once the view clears.
- A 2025 or later R1T or R1S: its cameras keep lining up as you drive. Small shifts fix themselves.
- New windshield, camera or radar: needs a calibration to Rivian's procedure. Get a quote.

What happens after you send the form
- 1
Send the VIN and the repair
Tell us what was done to your Rivian and what the display shows. The VIN gives us the model year.
- 2
We check what it needs
If more driving should settle it, we tell you. If not, you get a price for each system.
- 3
We calibrate, or tell you which Rivian center can
The shop checks the wheel alignment first, then calibrates to Rivian's procedure. If a step needs Rivian, you know before you book.
Rivian calibration prices
New glass means a front camera calibration. After front bumper work, your quote says if Rivian's procedure calls for a front radar calibration.
Calibration, per system
Diagnostic scan
- Same price on a mobile visit, except rows marked Shop bay only.
- Prices are before sales tax. Whether labor is taxed depends on your state; any tax that applies is itemized on your written quote.
- Dynamic calibration runs on the road, so it can be done as a mobile visit. Static calibration needs a level, lit, measured space, so whether your job can be done mobile depends on what your car's documented procedure calls for.
- Rows marked Shop bay only are done in a shop bay. The bay-and-road camera price applies when your car needs both calibrations.

Know your Rivian
Your model year decides which cameras your Rivian has. The repair decides which ones need a calibration.
A Rivian reads the road with cameras, radars and close-range sensors. The main two sit up front.
- Front camera: behind the rearview mirror, looking through the windshield.
- Front radar: at the center of the front bumper.
- Corner radars: at the bumper corners, for blind spots and cross traffic.
- Surround view cameras: front, rear and sides, for the parking views.
- Ultrasonic sensors: around the body, for objects close to the car.

Rivian changed its driver assist hardware for model year 2025. Your model year shows which set you have.

Since software updates in 2025, Gen 2 cameras keep calibrating in the background, in two parts.
- At a stop: the cameras line up with each other.
- Driving at 5 to 70 mph: they line up with the direction the car travels.
Rivian's Gen 2 camera update puts a brand-new car's calibration "after about 15-60 minutes of driving". The display tells you when.
Small shifts fix themselves. Damaged hardware, or a "more complicated" calibration, may still need a service appointment.
New glass or a replaced camera isn't a small shift. It still needs a calibration to Rivian's procedure.
Replacing a sensor or the windshield ends with a calibration. It runs to Rivian's procedure.
- New windshield: the front camera behind it.
- A camera or radar replaced: that sensor.
- Wheel alignment: set to spec before any calibration.
The front radar sits in the bumper. After bumper work, your quote says if Rivian's procedure calls for a radar calibration.
Film over a sensor can blind it, so the owner's guides allow only "Rivian-supplied paint protective film (PPF)".

Rivian has no dealers. It services its cars itself and names centers for calibration and crash repair.
- Rivian Service Centers: Rivian's own sites.
- Rivian Calibration and Diagnostic Centers: "specially equipped and trained by Rivian" for these calibrations.
- Rivian's "Certified Collision Centers": body shops "qualified to paint, align and repair" Rivians.

Rivian ADAS calibration questions
Yes, on every model year. Your Rivian's front camera sits behind the glass, so it needs a calibration after windshield replacement.
Front camera calibration is $300 when our network can do it to Rivian's procedure. Your VIN tells us if it can.
The car still drives, but don't rely on its driver assist features until it's calibrated. Steer and brake yourself meanwhile.
A new windshield or a replaced camera means a calibration on every Rivian. Driving alone doesn't replace it.
After the job, a 2025 or later R1T or R1S keeps fine-tuning its cameras as you drive. If a warning stays on, tell us.
Not every shop. Rivian's Calibration and Diagnostic Centers are "specially equipped and trained by Rivian" to do them.
Send the VIN and the repair. Where our network can do it, we quote it. Otherwise we tell you which Rivian center can.
On a Rivian, we quote each system our network can calibrate. Front camera calibration is $300 and front radar calibration is $330 at a service center.
Prices are per system, before sales tax where your state charges it on labor, and the full rate card is on the pricing page.
New glass means a front camera calibration. After front bumper work, your quote says if Rivian's procedure calls for a front radar calibration.
A diagnostic scan, when your job needs one, is priced and itemized separately. Your quote marks any step only Rivian can do.
Check your policy. Before work starts, ask your insurer if the claim for the glass or the body repair pays for the calibration.
Our quote puts each system on its own line, and any scan on another. Your adjuster sees what each charge covers.
