ADAS Calibration for Ferrari models

Windshield camera fault on your Purosangue after a Safelite swap? Ferrari's Full ADAS Pack ties the front camera, radar, and blind spot sensors to a single calibration baseline. One replacement resets all three. We recalibrate the full system in under 90 minutes.

Ferrari ADAS Calibration Cost

Calibration costs depend on your specific Ferrari model, which ADAS systems need recalibration, and whether mobile or workshop service is required.

Ferrari ADAS Systems We Calibrate

  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go - radar behind the front bumper tracks distance and speed down to a standstill. Bumper removal, minor front-end impact, or sensor bracket shift triggers recalibration. Without it, the system either disables itself or holds incorrect following distances at highway speed.
  • Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) - forward-facing camera at the top of the windshield reads pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles. Any windshield replacement breaks the camera's mounting angle. A 2mm shift at the bracket becomes a 1-meter targeting error at 40 mph.
  • Blind Spot Detection - rear corner radar modules monitor adjacent lanes. Quarter panel repair, rear bumper work, or a rear-end hit knocks the sensors off axis. Misaligned BSD either floods the dashboard with false warnings or stays silent when a vehicle sits in the blind zone.

Ferrari sources its ADAS hardware from Bosch, the same supplier behind Porsche and Maserati systems. The radar module and camera unit share engineering DNA with those platforms, but Ferrari's calibration parameters and target distances are model-specific. A Bosch radar on a Purosangue isn't interchangeable with one from a Cayenne - the firmware, mounting geometry, and aiming specs differ.

The Optional ADAS Problem

Ferrari labels its driver assistance technology the Full ADAS Pack. On most models it's a checked box on the options list, not standard equipment. That creates a problem most other brands don't have: two identical-looking Romas can roll off the line with completely different sensor configurations.

A Roma with the Full ADAS Pack carries a forward camera, front radar, and rear blind spot sensors. A Roma without it has none of those components. When a body shop or glass company pulls up the VIN, they can't always tell which version they're working on until they look behind the bumper or check the windshield bracket.

This matters because Safelite and other national glass chains often flag every Ferrari for post-windshield ADAS calibration. If your car doesn't have the pack, you don't need calibration. If it does, you absolutely need it - and skipping it leaves AEB and ACC blind. We verify your build spec before quoting so you don't pay for work that doesn't apply to your car.

Why the Purosangue Changed Ferrari's Calibration Volume

Before 2023, Ferrari calibration requests were rare. The client base was small, mileage was low, and most owners sent their cars to authorized dealers for everything. The Purosangue shifted that pattern. It's Ferrari's first four-door, first SUV-adjacent vehicle, and the first model many owners drive daily in traffic. Daily driving means more windshield chips, more parking lot impacts, and more highway miles where stone damage hits the glass.

The Purosangue also comes with the Full ADAS Pack as standard - not optional. Every single unit needs calibration after a windshield swap. Combine that with Safelite handling the glass and suddenly there's a calibration demand that Ferrari dealers weren't built to absorb. Dealer wait times for ADAS work can stretch to two or three weeks because the service bay prioritizes engine and transmission jobs. We turn it around in a day.

The 296 GTB and Roma follow a similar pattern. Both are "entry" Ferraris that see more road miles than a 812 Superfast or SF90. More miles means more glass claims, more bumper repairs, and more collision calibration requests.

Windshield Glass Quality on Ferraris

Ferrari windshields use laminated acoustic glass with a tight optical tolerance for the camera zone. Aftermarket replacements don't always match that tolerance. Industry data shows camera calibration failure rates climb when non-OEM glass is installed - the camera reads distortion in the glass and can't lock onto the calibration target. If your calibration fails on the first attempt, the glass itself is usually the cause. We test and confirm before charging for a second pass.

Calibration Environment for Ferrari

Ferrari's Bosch-based systems demand a controlled calibration space. The front camera is sensitive to ambient light. Too much sunlight through a garage door or too little overhead lighting and the camera can't distinguish the target pattern from background noise. Our facilities use climate-controlled bays with standardized lighting, level floors certified to within 3mm over 10 meters, and zero environmental interference during the procedure.

Static calibration - used for windshield camera resets - positions a target board at a precise distance and height relative to the vehicle's center axis. The board distance, height, and offset are model-specific. A Purosangue target setup differs from a Roma setup. Dynamic calibration, used for radar aiming, requires a road test on level pavement at specific speeds. Both procedures finish with a verification scan confirming all system parameters fall within Ferrari's factory spec.

Why Ferrari Owners Choose ADAS Line

  • Specialist ADAS Focus - we calibrate driver assistance systems full-time. This isn't a side service bolted onto a general repair shop. Ferrari's Bosch platform is one we work with daily across multiple brands.
  • Dealer-Level Results, Faster Turnaround - Ferrari dealers charge $600-$1,200 for the same calibration we complete from $249. Our typical turnaround is same-day. Dealer wait times run two to three weeks.
  • ASE-Certified Technicians - every calibration is performed by ASE-certified techs using manufacturer-grade diagnostic tools and OEM calibration procedures.
  • Service Centers Nationwide - locations across the US mean you don't need to trailer your Ferrari to the nearest dealer. We come to you or you bring it to a local center.
  • Post-Calibration Verification - every job includes a full system scan and printed calibration certificate confirming all ADAS parameters are within factory spec. Your insurance company and body shop get a copy.

How Ferrari ADAS Calibration Works

  1. Get a quote - tell us your model and what triggered the need. Windshield replacement and front bumper repair are the two most common reasons Ferrari owners contact us. We verify whether your car has the Full ADAS Pack before quoting.
  2. Book your appointment - windshield camera calibration takes 60-90 minutes. Radar aiming adds another 30-45 minutes. Full system resets including BSD run about 2 hours. We schedule around your availability.
  3. Drive away calibrated - your Ferrari leaves with every ADAS sensor verified against factory parameters. You get an ASE-certified calibration certificate and a full diagnostic report. No warning lights, no guesswork.

Ferrari ADAS Calibration Pricing

Ferrari dealers typically charge $600-$1,200 for camera calibration alone, with radar work adding another $400-$800. Our pricing covers the same OEM-spec procedure with ASE-certified technicians at a fraction of the dealer rate. Most calibration costs are covered by insurance when triggered by a glass or collision claim.

Ferrari ADAS Calibration — Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about ADAS calibration for your Ferrari

It depends on whether your car was ordered with the Full ADAS Pack. On most Ferrari models this is an optional extra. The Purosangue is the exception - it comes standard. Check your original build sheet or ask us to verify by VIN. If your Ferrari doesn't have the pack, no calibration is needed after glass or body work.
